1.Introduction

Prosperity Academics (“Prosperity Academics”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates prosperityacademics.com and the related learning services described on it (together, the “Platform”). We provide Cambridge A-Level, O-Level and IGCSE learning resources, including past papers, topical question generation, video lessons, crash courses and paid exclusive resources.

This Privacy Policy applies to everyone who visits the Platform, creates an account, registers for a course, or purchases access to our paid resources. It describes the personal information we handle and the choices available to you.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Platform. Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Terms of Service.

2.Information We Collect

2.1 Information you give us

We collect information you enter directly into the Platform:

  • Account details — username, email address, display name, and a password. Passwords are stored only as a salted one-way hash; we never store or have access to your password in readable form.
  • Google sign-in — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Course registration details — for crash courses we collect your full name, age, email address, WhatsApp number, college or school name, study level (AS or A2) and whether you are based in Pakistan or abroad.
  • Payment submissions — because payments are made by bank or mobile wallet transfer, we collect the name and email you submit, the amount, any discount code used, and the payment receipt or screenshot you upload so an administrator can verify it.
  • Communications — messages you send us by email, the contact form, or WhatsApp, including any information you choose to include in them.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data — pages viewed, resources opened, papers generated, and general activity on the Platform, used to understand which resources students find useful.
  • Device and connection data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language and referring page.
  • Security and diagnostic data — request logs, rate-limiting signals and error reports used to detect abuse, prevent automated attacks and fix faults.

2.3 Information we do not collect

We do not collect or store your card, bank account or wallet credentials. Payments are made directly to our account through your own bank or wallet provider, and we only ever see the receipt you choose to upload as proof of payment.

3.How We Use Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

We rely on your consent where required, on the performance of our agreement with you to deliver purchased resources, and on our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional Platform.

4.Cookies & Tracking

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage) for:

  • Strictly necessary purposes — keeping you signed in, remembering your session, and protecting against automated abuse. The Platform cannot function without these.
  • Preferences — remembering interface choices such as filters you last used.
  • Analytics — measuring aggregate page views and feature usage.
  • Advertising — where advertising is shown, as described in the next section.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or accessing purchased resources.

5.Advertising

Parts of the Platform that are free to use may display advertising in order to fund the free resources we provide. Where advertising is shown:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to the Platform and other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
  • Third-party advertising vendors operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

6.How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

6.2 Legal and protective disclosures

We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that it is required by law, or reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms, investigate suspected fraud or credential sharing, or protect the rights and safety of our students, our team or the public.

6.3 Business transfers

If Prosperity Academics is involved in a merger, acquisition or transfer of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

7.Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for:

  • Account information — for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that access to purchased resources can be restored if you return.
  • Purchase and payment records — retained for our financial and tax records, and to prove entitlement to purchased content.
  • Uploaded payment receipts — retained while the related purchase remains valid and for our accounting records thereafter.
  • Verification codes and password reset tokens — short-lived, and expire automatically.
  • Security and diagnostic logs — retained for a limited period for security investigation and troubleshooting.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.

8.Data Security

We take practical, meaningful steps to protect your information:

  • All traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
  • Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes.
  • Access to administrative tools and student records is restricted to authorised team members.
  • Purchased video and paper content is served through access-controlled links rather than public URLs.
  • Automated rate limiting and bot protection guard against abuse.

No online service can promise perfect security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity under your account. Please tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

9.Your Rights & Choices

You can:

  • Access and update your account information from your profile at any time.
  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to records we must keep for financial, tax or legal reasons.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any such email. Service messages relating to your account or purchases will still be sent.

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in section 13. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable period.

10.Children & Young Learners

Our Platform serves secondary-school students, and we recognise that many of our users are under 18.

  • The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
  • If you are under 18, you may use the Platform and make purchases only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • Where advertising is displayed, we instruct our advertising partners not to serve personalised advertising to users identified as children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11.International Transfers

We are based in Pakistan and serve students in Pakistan and abroad. The service providers listed in section 6 may store and process information on servers outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. Where information is transferred internationally, we rely on providers that offer appropriate contractual and technical safeguards for that data.

12.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform evolves or as the law requires. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice, such as an email or an on-site notification. Continuing to use the Platform after an update means you accept the revised policy.
